Best ways to sell or trade Ammo?
I never sell ammo, I only buy and stockpile. However, I recently discovered that I still have 2 boxes of 20 gauge shells, that I had originally purchased for a gun I know longer own. None of my buddies have 20 guage guns, so I need to find a way to sell or swap these shells for 12 guage shells. Anybody ever done this outside their own network of shooting buddies? There is a gun show next week here in Austin, and I was gonna see if I could swap the ammo there.
Any help is greatly appreciated. FYI, these are 20 gauge Federal Classic Magnum shells, 3 inch, #4 shot. |

www.Gunbroker.com is one way.

Use the buy/sell boards on the firearms forums.
I'd suggest www.thehighroad.org or www.thehighroad.us for those shotshells, as they're pretty much a fudd item, and those are fudd boards. You might also try the EE at www.ar15.com BTW, you should try for a FTF transaction, as legally shipping two boxes of shells will be cost prohibitive. |

Re: Best ways to sell or trade Ammo?
I have shipped ammo before. UPS was the cheapest way to go. It seems like it was not much more than regular shipping rates. Just had to have an ORMD sticker that they provided, to put on the box. And they wanted to inspect the contents. Give them a call, It was fairly painless.

I would try to find a used single shot 20 gauge to give that ammo a purpose, a good one could be found for under $100

Great Ideas! Thanks for the input.
Just to clarify, I have (2) 25 shell boxes, a total of 50 shells. |
Re: Best ways to sell or trade Ammo?
You should never sell ammo that you don't own firearms for. You SHOULD go out and purchase a firearm in that caliber. Problem solved!!
